Convert PDF to JPG on Windows
Windows has no built-in PDF-to-image export, so most people end up installing a converter or taking screenshots. A browser page does the same job without an install, at full page resolution and with real page selection.

Convert a PDF to JPG nowConvert the PDF in Edge, Chrome or Firefox
- 1Open the converter and drag your PDF onto the drop zone, or use Choose PDF Files.
- 2Select the pages you need, or leave every page selected for the whole document.
- 3Choose 150 DPI for screen use or 300 DPI for printing.
- 4Press Convert to JPG and download the images individually or as one ZIP.
Why not just take a screenshot?
Screenshots only capture what is visible, at screen resolution, with the viewer chrome included. A rendered page is produced at the exact DPI you choose, keeps the full page in one image, and works for pages longer than your screen.
Note the direction of travel with Windows printing tools: Microsoft Print to PDF creates a PDF, not images. It cannot help when you need JPG output.
Saving and organising the results
- Downloads go to your Downloads folder by default. In Edge you can press Ctrl+J to open the downloads list.
- Right-click a downloaded image and choose Open with › Photos, or Save as to move it into Pictures.
- A ZIP opens like a folder in File Explorer — extract it, then drag the images into any app.
Large documents on Windows
Desktops handle bigger documents than phones, but browsers still cap how large a single canvas may be. If you convert a very large sheet at 600 DPI the converter will tell you it reduced the resolution rather than failing silently. For everyday documents, 150 DPI is fast and 300 DPI is still comfortable.
